Service to Man is Service to God
Swami Vivekananda
Puja season is the time of joy and merriment. The procurement of new clothes is one of the main activities people undertake to celebrate the Puja befittingly. Marginalized people of our society come under distress during the days of celebration as the stark contrast amongst social class becomes evident and visible. To assuage their distress a bit, Ramakrishna Mission, Dibrugarh, Assam has undertaken the project of “Distress Relief Work.” Under this project on 26th August, 2nd and 3rd October 2021 we had distributed the following clothing among 500 hundred poor families from 4 slums of Dibrugarh city and 4 remote villages; Dhakaluji, Tarajan, Uguri & Bengali Gaow of Boghai Panchali township.
Our Relief activity could be summarised as follows:
Particulars | Details |
---|---|
Sari | 500 Nos. |
Lungi | 500 Nos. |
Shirt | 322 Nos. |
Pant | 178 Nos. |
We are fortunate that we could get the opportunity to serve these people during these upcoming Celebration Days.
